Systems Programmer

I have legacy embedded systems application (circa the early 2000s), that was sourced in C++.

Application is based around the Analog Devices Blackfin processor so experience with this device is required.

There are potentially many improvement projects, but to start off with I need to change the word length used in the integrated UART of the processor.

Source code is not well documented or commented out, so it will be necessary to understand the application and work back to the code.

Currently, the Tx and Rx use different word lengths and this is causing interface challenges.

This is something of an experiment to see if freelancing will work for my company, but if successful there are a lot of projects for this product, particularly in video signal processing and user interface development.
